How do I contact someone?

To limit abuse, the Profile Contact form has been deactivated. Users wishing direct contact with another party must now use the Private Messaging system hosted within this site. For those with permission to use this system, a block such as the one shown to the left will appear while logged in within the right-hand column. Keep in mind the exact appearance of this block will vary depending upon theme in use on a site.

Unlike the Profile Contact page, the Private Message system provides more controls and features. While all users registered on the site can receive such a message, only those in trusted roles are able to send them. When such a message is sent to a user, an e-mail notification is sent from the server but the contents of the message are not included. All such messages must be read while logged in. Users are reminded to check spam folders for the presence of such notices on a regular basis.
