In order to create a message post on this site, one must be registered and have been granted a role that allows one to create content. When logged in, a menu item - Create content - will appear under the main navigation menu showing in the left-hand column under your username. Click on this and all permissible content types open to you will be shown. For example, all logged in users may create a Group Topic within public or private groups they belong to, although some posts may be placed in the moderation queue until approved. (Depending on role someone holds, and the group in question.)
Enter a subject for your post, and then write or paste your message into the body area. If concern exists over spelling, by all means use a good quality word processor to prepare your text in advance. Content written in Word, or other word processors and text editors can be pasted into place using the icons in the toolbar for this purpose. To maintain the HTML integrity of code used on this site, all paste operations will act as plain-text. (Meaning, any special formatting to text added in a word processor will be stripped out.) Please use the toolbar supplied in the provided editor to add stylistic enhancements such as boldface, italic, link data, font changes, etc. Keep in mind the toolbar in the editor and provided options will vary depending on the role someone holds, and what kind of content they are creating.
To insert an image, click on the yellow image icon in the toolbar showing to the left. Click on the Browse Server button to open your own Personal File Storage area. This will show any files you have previously uploaded and allow you to add them into your message, or delete them. You can upload a new image file from your system by clicking on the Browse button at the bottom of the screen. This should open a fairly familiar file dialog window you can use to locate the file you wish to upload. When you have it selected, click on the Open button at the bottom of this screen. You will now be taken back to the Personal File Storage area with the path to where that file is located on your system showing. Click on the Upload button to send it to the server. It will be resized - if too large - automatically.
