This is a mandatory group that all users are subscribed to upon this site.
Message topics here will all be created by the owner of Design Works Internet, Irene Kraus. Those logged in may comment (reply) to such notices as they see fit. Depending upon what has been stated, they may or may not be published so as to be visible to all users. To change how notifications from this group are sent, be sure you are logged in. Then click on the My Account link showing in the main navigation menu under your username in the left-hand column. Click on the Notifications tab, and then Groups. The Mail option will send notices as plain-text e-mails, while Web means a notice will only be provided upon your next visit to the site. Other options for notifications, including those sent by SMS (to cell phones), XMPP (integration with a variety of web services) and Twitter are in beta testing. Control over these options is by role assigned by the administrator. Those who are considered to be inactive users, however, loose such access and may even be blocked.
Keep in mind that all users of this system are expected to have read and agreed to our stated Terms of Use. If this should change in any significant manner, a revised version of it will be shown upon your next login. You are then expected to read and again indicate your acceptance. We recommend reading of our Privacy Statement prior to registration, so as to be informed about what sort of information we collect about our users and how it is used. None of the sites within our network is directed to children under the age of 13. We operate our network of sites in compliance with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act and do not permit registration by, and will not knowingly collect or use personally identifiable information from, anyone under 13 years of age. This requirement is clearly posted during the registration process.

Please register on the site indicating your skill set within the form provided. Another resource for those seeking work within the north-central region of Ohio is the computer user group organization called CEBUG that has an emphasis on the Information Technology field.

Increased Security Measures 2011
Due to increasing hacker attempts a few changes have been made. For one thing, someone now has a limited number of login attempts. Failure to login within the attempts allowed will result in an automated block to that account that can only be reversed by those in management roles. The login process has been altered to provide feedback as to how many more attempts can be made prior to an account becoming blocked.

Site Changes - November 2009
I have decided to delete the 'Theme Testing' workgroup here, as I have established a group on Yahoo that will substitute. (Act as a place for people to ask questions about developing themes, skins, and templates for content management software.) Actual testing of such things I am developing has always occured elsewhere!

Inability to login - Bug Resolved
A member recently reported to me that, despite knowing what his login details were, he was unable to do so after several attempts on different days. Researching the cause of this took a while, as it was not affecting all users. In fact, only those in certain roles were affected depending on their permission settings. The programmer for the module involved was notified and a fix was developed, which I hope corrects this situation!

DWI September 2009 Rebuild
For reasons to numerous to mention, the entire site database was rebuilt. Users with active registrations will probably need to use the password recovery option prior to their next login, as these have all been reset. Data about messages read or viewed was also lost, as was other non-essential statistics. A number of groups stored here in the past have been merged or moved to locations elsewhere.

Merged and moved Groups
During the recent rebuild of this site, I decided to merge some Groups that previously existed separately. I may merge a few more before I am done, but the Groups list reflects those that now exist and are open to registered users. Others were moved off this site into Yahoo Groups, with the links to those showing in my SIG block before.

Search box disabled
Just got word about a very serious vulnerability in the core process for this site regarding the search box that was found on every page. Until this is fully researched and fix, that has been disabled. Automated search functions still work, if triggered by actions of visitors. Sorry for any inconvenience.
