The OG (Organic Groups) system in use on this site is about to undergo a major revision, however this has been delayed as a number of subsidiary modules must also be updated. As this site is the only one currently using that system, that will be all that will be said on that subject here.
There are a number of other major revisions in the works, for the benefit of those interested. First and foremost being an upgrade from the Drupal 5 core to the Drupal 6 core. There are a small number of add-on modules which are still not stable enough within the Drupal 6 environment to make such an upgrade possible today. However, updates on those are appearing almost every day so this planned upgrade will probably occur before the end of this month. Due to the time and complexity of this upgrade, I intend on doing this one critical update at no cost to existing shared software install accounts. (Simply because it is such a huge change!)
I can start answering questions on what sort of new features and so forth will be coming in this upgrade, so feel free! This message is appearing in both the public General Discussion workgroup and the private Maintenance Notices workgroup, so please direct question to the public area so all may see and participate. (And gain the benefit from any discussions!) I am restricting access to the Maintenance Notices workgroup to those who in potential or active clients and partnership roles or others helping me to conduct testing of things.
Beyond all the changes generated by that core update, here are some other modules that will soon offer enhancements: Ecommerce, Events, Image, IMCE (Personal File System used in connection with editor), Invite, and XML Sitemap. I expect this list to grow and change as the Drupal 6 core approaches, however, so look for updates as that grows closer.

Maintenance Group removed
The private Maintenance Notices workgroup has merged with the semi-private Bug Reports Workgroup, so as to simplify those structures.
